The rising allure of San Pedro Alcántara
For a long time, San Pedro Alcántara was a charming little town within ten minutes of Marbella that retained an authentic Andalusian feel about it. The areas around it have long been home to luxurious resorts and residential developments dissected by the lush greenery of golf courses, but it is fair to say that San Pedro is growing ever more popular among residents and homebuyers alike.

Nearby are also the townhouses, apartments and private homes of the tight-knit beachside community of Lindavista, while eastwards, towards Puerto Banús and Marbella town, you will come across the luxurious frontline beach apartments and penthouses of El Embrujo, where villas can also be found ensconced in leafy streets within walking distance of the sea. They offer an excellent choice of properties in a wide range of settings, sizes and budgets.
New areas
The new boulevard that extends along the southside of the town of San Pedro and separates it from the beachside area of Nueva Alcántara, provides a delightful pedestrian area made up of parks, cafés, children’s play areas and other public spaces. From here, broad palm-lined roads run down to the seaside promenade and sandy beaches, themselves lined with popular fish restaurants. The new boulevard has given new impetus to San Pedro and Nueva Alcántara alike, breathing life into the area where modern apartment developments are taking shape between town and beach.
